VACCHO is Victoria’s peak representative Aboriginal health and wellbeing body, championing community control and health equality for our communities. We are a centre of expertise, policy advice, training, innovation and leadership in Aboriginal health, advocating for the equality and wellbeing of all Aboriginal people across the state.

The position of Senior Policy Officer is to research, consult, produce and communicate effective, evidence- based advocacy positions to improve the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people in Victoria. Team; working in a cooperative environment and promoting collaboration across teams.

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a social and/or public policy role;
• Proven project management experience using highly participative and collaborative consultation skills;.
• Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to research, compile and prepare reports, submissions and documents, and.
• Ability to identify and analyse problems, establish appropriate solutions and recommendations using analytical and conceptual skills.
