The Opportunity

The position contributes to VACCA's efforts to strengthen its community presence in the key areas of advocacy, marketing, communications, and fundraising in the context of the organisation's central value of self-determination. The position is a critical part of the Communications team and the Office of the CEO more broadly. The Communications Advisor is instrumental in the continued development of engaging, informative, and culturally appropriate communications.

About you:

• Previous experience in a digital communications or marketing role which includes online content development (web content, digital copywriting, social media, video etc.) is mandatory
• Strong writing, proofreading and communication skills with superior attention to detail
• Experience with digital mediums including website content management systems and Google Analytics
• Skilled in graphic design, with proficiency in proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite to ensure visual content is on-brand
• Knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms and their functionality and integration within organisations
• Knowledge of basic design such as Photoshop, and MailChimp will be viewed favourably
• Tertiary study in communications, marketing or public relations will be viewed favourably
