  • Salary: $84,850 to $88,691 (based on skills & experience) plus Super Plus Attractive Salary Packaging option

About the role

The Project Officer for Family Violence Reforms and Resource Development will work collaboratively with the Senior Project Officer to embed the Victorian family violence reforms across the organisation, support internal and external staff and practitioners to understand and implement their family violence responsibilities and tasks and support the delivery of VACCA’s family violence reform project plan.

This will include assisting with reviewing sector frameworks, tools and resources, amending and developing culturally inclusive educational, training and operational supporting resources and attend sector meetings, forums and workshops. The Project Officer will have the opportunity to develop their skills in project management, resource development, professional writing and administrative tasks and engage in regular supervision and professional development.

About You

  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’ vision and purpose and the capacity to take a leadership role in championing these internally and externally
  • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal societies and cultures, and commitment to continually build knowledge of such, along with a high level of awareness of the key issues which impact upon Aboriginal communities
  • Demonstrated experience in working and engaging with Aboriginal families and children/ Demonstrated experience in child and family sector
  • An understanding of the Victorian Family Violence sector reforms and frameworks, family violence issues, government policy and the family violence sector
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in project management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent report writing skills and ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders
  • Exceptional time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload whilst maintaining strong attention to detail
  • The ability to take direction and work independently as well as work collaboratively in a team environment and make valuable contributions
