Our Investigations Unit plays a critical role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people across Victoria.
The Investigation Unit consists of specially trained investigators from a variety of backgrounds, who are responsible for the investigation of allegations or suspicions of sexual, physical, or emotional abuse of a child, as well as neglect and child death investigations, in line with the requirements of the Commission for Children and Young People’s (CCYP) Reportable Conduct Scheme and the Department of Families, Fairness, and Housing (DHHS) Client Incident Management System (CIMS). The team works with other agencies, including Child Protection and Victoria Police Sexual Offences and Child-abuse Investigation Teams (SOCIT).
As an Investigator you will work with a highly motivated and positive group of people who are passionate about assisting VACCA deliver safe, quality services.
This role will undertake a diverse range of activities, including interviewing victims, witnesses, and people under investigation; reviewing evidence, and responding to critical incidents involving the safety of Aboriginal children and young people.
