About the role:

The Research and Evidence Development Team (the ‘RED’ Team) supports program design, the development and implementation of internal and external evaluations, embedding evaluative inquiry across VACCA’s programs, and research projects. This is an exciting time for the Research and Evidence Development Team (RED team): it is charged with leading organisational change to better evidence the benefits of VACCA’s services, strengthen program design and delivery, support service innovation, and build a proactive approach to research and evaluation in the service of VACCA’s strategic directions

The Data Designer and Analyst plays a critical role in supporting monitoring and evaluation of VACCA programs through an end to end data role. The role is responsible for: ensuring that M&E data plans are translated into data items for VACCA’s case management database and/or other project specific databases; design and testing of M&E reports through databases; training and support to program and project teams in data entry and extraction; monitoring in partnership with Program Managers the appropriate entry of data; report extraction and data analysis; data visualisation and reporting

About You:

  • You will have experience in data design and analysis within a human service setting
  • Qualification in data design and analysis or social science statistics
  • Understanding of data planning including indicators and measurement and data items; understanding of data analysis methods and data visualisation strategies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively
  • Demonstrated experience in building supportive working relationships and in training and support relating to data management
