Victorian Aboriginal Child Care Agency (VACCA) is the largest organisation of its kind in Australia, employing more than 600 employees and delivering more than 70 programs across Victoria. About the role

The Project Officer role involves providing Secretariat support for the Cultural Connections Advisory Group. The role also delivers projects, sponsorship activities and actions from the group and includes providing advice or support to regions to assist in the delivery of the cultural and events calendar. The role involves developing resources (eg procurement and delivery logistics). The event calendar includes, but is not limited to; NAIDOC, Christmas events, Children’s Day and Reconciliation Week.

About You

  • Demonstrated understanding of, and commitment to, the values that underpin VACCA’s vision and purpose
  • Demonstrated awareness and appreciation of Aboriginal culture
  • Strong communication, coordination and administrative skills and experience in writing documents.
  • Skills and experience in working in projects including project planning, events, production, procurement, development of engaging online content, project management and relevant compliance activities.
  • Excellent computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite including Microsoft Excel;
  • Strong organisational abilities and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
