POSITION

The United Workers Union is seeking a highly motivated Digital Campaigner.

Candidates with experience in union or related organising and campaigning will be highly regarded.

The role can be based in any State.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build active and sustainable organising structures that contribute to achieving the Objects of the Union.
  • You’re passionate about social justice and see collective action as the solution;
  • You live and breathe the internet, and are excited about online to offline organising;
  • You instinctively ‘get’ visual content – and you have the technical skills to pull it off;
  • You have a way with words, and can translate complex workplace announcements into galvanising communication;
  • You’re impact driven – you get an adrenaline rush from getting stuff done and seeing results

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

A Digital Organiser demonstrates:

  • Produce creative visual online and offline content to mobilise members and supporters – Indesign, Photoshop, and video skills are a must;
  • Write engaging communication for a broad range of audiences
  • Help to manage social media channels, websites, and our email program
  • Help to develop, implement and track supporter journeys
  • Work across a number of campaigns, identifying ways to build our relationship with our members and supporters
  • Candidates with experience in union or related organising and campaigning will be highly regarded.

To perform this job, you will also be required to have or obtain and maintain:

  • A valid driver’s licence; and
  • Right of Entry Permits

REMUNERATION

An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful applicant, which will include:

  • Salary commensurate with demonstrated skills and experience;
  • 16% superannuation
  • 6 weeks annual leave plus 25% leave loading
