For over 20 years ISF has been a recognised leader in applied sustainability research. We deliver high-impact applied research through partnership with government, industry, civil society and the international research community.

We seek applications from talented and dynamic individuals passionate about research for sustainability and social justice. The role involves working on research projects focused on water, sanitation and hygiene in Asia and the Pacific. The projects commonly include technical, institutional, economic and social dimensions, such as gender equality and social inclusion, and are intended to support our clients and partners to improve their evidence-based WASH policy and practice. Embarking on or furthering your research career, you will benefit from the opportunity to work on projects with a team of exceptional senior researchers in the international development sector.

We would like to hear from applicants with a passion for the human rights to water and sanitation, social justice and sustainable development and an ability to take a flexible and team-oriented approach. Working in teams and with international partners (NGOs, private sector and government), you will use your knowledge of current WASH technical and policy issues, and best practices relating to sustainability, and will draw on your strong facilitation and communication skills. Suitable applicants will demonstrate well-developed research skills and experience, including a relevant undergraduate or Master’s degree as well as strong analytical, critical thinking and writing skills. We are looking for applicants who have a genuine passion for sustainability, WASH and public health, excellent project management skills and a keenness to learn and contribute within a team.

Salary Range:
Level 6 Research Consultant - $82,434 - $89,255 p.a.
Level 7 Senior Research Consultant - $90,963 - $100,627 p.a.

The university offers 17% employer provided superannuation and salary packaging opportunities. This appointment will be on a One Year Full Time Fixed term basis.
