Make a Difference for Tasmania: Expressions of Interest for the UTAS Animal Ethics Committee
This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with an interest in volunteering to support research.
The University of Tasmania Animal Ethics Committee (AEC) is currently recruiting for Category C and Category D members. The role of the AEC is to ensure the ethical, humane and responsible care and use of animals used for scientific purposes and to review research proposals in line with the Australian code for the care and use of animals for scientific purposes.
This committee reviews a wide range of proposals for the University, including student projects, teaching projects, and research involving rodents, wildlife and marine life.

Membership involves attending at least one meeting per month, conducted via Zoom, as well as reading and reviewing ethics submissions prior to the meeting.
