Due to increased funding as part of the Victorian Government's bushfire response we are inviting applications from appropriately qualified and experienced people to join our Financial Counselling Team for both office based and outreach work.
There are several positions available and successful candidates may negotiate full time or part time employment (after a period of full-time for induction and familiarisation with the role and the Agency).
The Financial Counselling program sits within the UMFC Family Relationship Services and delivers a range of programs funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social (DSS) Services and by Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV). These serviced are delivered by appropriately qualified and experienced professionals at UMFC offices and at outreach locations, covering North East Victoria and the Southern Riverina areas.
Following the recent widespread Vic/NSW bushfires, additional funding has been made available by Consumer Affairs Victoria. UMFC are collaborating with Gateway Health, VACCA and Co-Health who have received bushfire recovery funding for case-management. UMFC Bushfire Recovery Financial Counsellors will work with these organisations to provide a coordinated approach to providing for people's recovery needs.
