We are seeking to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an innovative project investigating the use of virtual reality to assess cognitive processes in pain. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of Professor Louise Sharpe, this role will be part of an Australian Research Council grant to investigate the role of cognitive processes in pain, using Virtual Reality (VR). The successful candidate will be expected to participate in a research programme that develops novel tasks to assess attentional bias and attentional alignment in the context of pain. They will be involved in the supervision of undergraduate students and coursework Masters students undertaking their research in the area of the grant. They will be expected to contribute to novel paradigms, conduct novel experiments, analyse data, and write up the results for publication.
