We are currently seeking an Early Childhood Family Services Liaison Officer to join our research team for the “Good Start In Life” program for early childhood development (funded by the Medical Research Future Fund).

Reporting to the Director, UC-Health Research Institute the successful candidate will engage families and young children and help them connect to local services and programmes to build strong, sustainable relationships between community service agencies. You will need to draw on past experience and knowledge of family and children services in an early development context.

A key feature of this role is to actively engage with parents, children and service providers to provide an integrated and responsive service focused on building strong, sustainable and connected children, families and communities. You will also Facilitate parent and child engagement strategies that meet the local needs and create pathways and connections for parents to increase their knowledge of their community, universal and specialist services, health, education and social support services and support the development and promotion of community activities, networks and opportunities that engage parents and young children.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree or postgraduate qualifications in related area such as early childhood education, social work or psychology or similar. Demonstrated capacity to engage with parents and families of infants/young children and possess previous experience with working with local community services/stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be required to obtain a Working with Children Check and a Satisfactory current police check and current drivers license and own transport.
