The opportunity 

UnitingSA has a great opportunity for a Support Coordinator focusing on NDIS to join our team. Working with a group of passionate people, you’ll be responsible for the effective delivery of services to NDIS participants across South Australia.

A day in the life looks like 

Your day will be varied and dynamic, and will likely involve:

  • Supporting participants in exploring and resolving their needs, expectations and goals on a day to day basis
  • Ensuring a person centred approach when identifying goals and aspirations for participants and including them into NDIS support plan implementation, offering and supports
  • Contributing to the planning and development of service offerings and supports
  • Building positive relationships and networks with relevant stakeholders
  • Adhering to reporting, documentation and business administration requirements at all times maintaining a high level of accuracy

About you 

As our new Support Coordinator, you will be an approachable, friendly and welcoming person. You’ll have specialist knowledge of the disability and NDIS sector, as well as the ability to provide advice and facilitate NDIS participants planning in order to meet objectives. You’ll be a passionate and engaging individual, who thrives in an environment where you are benefitting the lives of others.

You’ll have the following demonstrable skills and experience:

  • Tertiary qualification in community services, social work or equivalent and extensive community work and training (essential)
  • Current SA driver’s licence (essential)
  • Current DCSI Child and Disability Related Screening (essential)
  • Current Child Safe Environments certificate (desirable)
  • Experience in the coordination of service provision in the disability or related sectors
