​​​​​​The Opportunity

In this role, you will be responsible for the leadership and supervision of a team of Community Support and Lived Experienced Workers, and the day-to-day operation and development of service delivery. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the psychosocial impacts of mental illness on a person’s life, and sound understanding of the concept of trauma informed practice and recovery models.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide leadership and support to Community Support Workers, Lived Experience Workers and placement students.
  • Provide active guidance to staff confronting complex consumer issues or systems.
  • Provide a range of goal-oriented support services that enable consumers with complex needs to achieve their goals.
  • Work with consumers with complex needs to develop individual support or goal plans and to achieve those plans and goals.
  • Process referrals according to the needs of the consumer and the capacity of workers and the program.

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications in Human Services (degree in Social Work or equivalent preferred) and considerable experience in working in community services and models of assessment, planning, intervention and review.
