IPRSS is a well-established and dynamic provider of support services for people living with a mental illness in the Northern suburbs of Adelaide. 

The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Community Support Worker to join our Individual Psychosocial Rehabilitation Support Services (IPRSS) team, and support people with a mental health disability to provide a range of non-clinical psychosocial rehabilitation options. The successful applicant responsible for providing individualised psychosocial rehabilitation support that is goal focused, individually tailored and at a level of intensity appropriate to the Client’s needs. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide a range of goal-oriented support services that enable consumers to achieve their goals (including independent living in the community, personal care, community engagement, self-care, shopping, budgeting, safety and family contact).
  • Work with consumers to develop individual support and/or goal plans, as per assessment tools as required, within agreed timeframes.
  • Work with clients to develop and achieve individual plans and goals.
  • Observe and report on clients ‘health and wellbeing’ concerns and assist clients to review clients Service Plans goals.

The successful candidate will have a Degree or Diploma in Human Services or Minimum Certificate IV in Community Services, Disability, Mental Health or related field, and experience in working with individuals with multiple and complex psychosocial needs. 

You will be able to work autonomously, as well as be a team player and have the flexibility and initiative to manage changing priorities.
