About Local Area Coordination Partners in the Community (PITC) Program

The NDIS Partners in the Community Program for Local Area Coordination (LAC) Services works in partnership with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) to assist people with disability, their families and carers to achieve tangible outcomes, exercise choice and control and engage with the National Disability Insurance Schemes (NDIS).

Uniting LAC support people aged 7-65 who have NDIS plans and are eligible for the Scheme, as well as connect people, who are not eligible for the Scheme, to services and supports in their local community.

Uniting is delivering Local Area Coordination in the local communities across the Southern NSW Service Area, including Bega Valley, Bombala, Cooma-Monaro, Eurobodalla, Goulburn Mulwaree, Palerang, Queanbeyan, Snowy River, Upper Lachlan Shire and Yass Valley.

Responsibilities

As a member of the Specialist Service team, you will develop, facilitate and influence the delivery of program wide initiatives that will support the learning and capability of all LAC staff to perform their roles to a high standard and meet Uniting and NDIA requirements.

Your role, as Workplace Learning Coordinator, is to prepare, facilitate, monitor, evaluate and document training activities to ensure that all staff have the confidence, skills and knowledge to successfully deliver LAC Services. You will assist the Senior Workplace Learning Coordinator to delivering outcomes and meet the requirements of the NDIA contractual agreement along with the Uniting and LAC Services strategic and operational plans.

Are you the Person we are looking for?

You will have demonstrated experience in delivering training to staff through various mediums including face to face, online and 1:1 training and the ability to identify training gaps and incorporate lessons learnt, feedback and review into the continuous improvement of work practices.

We are looking for people with Training and Assessment qualifications, who have lived experience, or awareness of the impact of existing or acquired disability upon individuals, families, carers and the community. Qualifications in allied health, disability services, education, human services, community development or social work, and experience in local government or other customer facing environments that support or provide services to the community will be highly regarded.
