The role is part of a wider Retirement Living team working as part of our Seniors Services directorate so you can also look forward to working as part of an engaged and motivated team.

As our new Retirement Living Village Manager, you'll be managing a highly engaged, resident-led and vibrant community at our flagship Retirement Village in Normanhurst.  This role is 5 days per week fulltime.

Role Objectives:

  • Facilitate the smooth operation of our flagship village at Normanhurst
  • To drive highly engaged, resident-led, contented, and vibrant communities.
  • To support the independent living of residents by connecting with services in line with organisational processes and policies.
  • Ensure the Villages are maintained at the level required to deliver a high-quality standard of living for residents by coordinating with Asset Management and Minor Works Teams.
  • Engage and meet regularly with our supportive and active Residents Committee.
  • To maintain optimum occupancy levels by undertaking face to face ongoing resales and letting activities in line with organisational policy and implementing new sales initiatives in conjunction with Sales Team
  • To support village operation by managing client information systems.
  • Supervise and support staff

Ideally you will have:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in an appropriate discipline
  • Solid experience working with budgets and under the Retirement Villages Act highly desirable
  • Strong administration and organisational skills
  • Skills and knowledge to deliver enhanced customer experience
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to adapt to change or situation with confidence
  • Understanding of needs of our residents and services they use
  • Demonstratable business acumen, computer skills - Systems training will be provided
