This position is offered on a permanent part-time basis and is in the Cumberland LGA area.

  • Must be available to work Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 2:00pm – 10:00pm followed by an inactive sleep-over shift 
  • Penalties will be paid for shifts worked outside of core hours 
  • Additional hours on offer

This Support Worker is responsible for the provision of safe and appropriate accommodation and support services to residents through the delivery of high-quality care to service users.

Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist with intake and assessment where relevant to the role
  • Develop and monitor support plans/individual case plans, based on Services Practice Guidelines

About you in the role

  • Certificate IV (minimum) in Community Services, Mental Health, Youth Work or other relevant field
  • Hold a current NSW WWCC and First Aid Certificate
  • Demonstrated understanding of child protection issues 
  • Experience working with vulnerable people, relevant to the service (single women 25+ years) 
  • Knowledge of best-practice for Specialist Homelessness funded Services
  • Ability to think on feet and support women work through complex mental health issues

The role is designated for a female under section 31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act. You will be required to have a current drivers license, Working With Children Clearance and a National Police Check
