About the opportunity 

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Coordinator, Health Living for Seniors to join our team in Parramatta in a six-month full time closed period contract position.

Uniting has invested heavily of late to reimagine our wellbeing and connection services to be able to be delivered through an online platform. We are looking for someone to continue to work with our teams, both within Home and community Care and the wider organisation, to continue to build this new and exciting service offering. Key responsibilities include; 

  • Coordination with locally based teams to develop a cohesive service offering that meets the needs of both our current and potential clients.
  • Travelling between sites/programs will be required from time to time 
  • Work cohesively with other teams across Uniting such as marketing and IT to ensure it is meeting the organisations overall objectives.  
  • Continue to grow the service offering, both with internal links and new ones within the community
  • Developing the capability of team members through managing, coaching and mentoring 
  • Managing delivery of specific projects within the Business Plans 

Essential qualifications

  • Degree level qualification in Allied Health or equivalent (desirable) 
  • Current First Aid Certificate 
  • Current Australian Driver’s Licence 

About you 

Key to the success in this role is demonstrated ability in the below skills and experience; 

  • Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders to get things done.
  • Great people skills, capacity to coach and motivate and support a new offering
  • Well-developed understanding of care delivery in Community Care and a commitment to best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient using multiple computer applications and willingness to learn new systems/programs as required
  • A demonstrated passion for social change and contributing to an organisation of influence for the most disadvantaged
  • Skilled at navigating a complex organisation, forging relationships and managing through influence rather than direct authority as required
