Uniting Sydney South East Residential region are seeking passionate, qualified Registered Nurses to work across our facilities for our Metro Workforce Pool. 

To be considered for this unique opportunity, you need to be have obtained a Degree or higher qualification in Health Science or Applied Science (Nursing) and dedicated to caring for our residents.

About the role

This role would suit a dynamic, enthusiastic individual who would like a chance to work for a leading Not for Profit organisation to gain invaluable experience and future career opportunities.

  • There are 15 facilities within this area and we require flexible availability. 
  • You will need a reliable mode of transport to attend shifts.
  • Staff on the Metro Workforce Pool have the capacity to work up to 76 hours per fortnight across multiple facilities. 
  • Your ability to work flexible hours MUST include all shifts (AM, PM and Night Duty) and have the ability to work at short notice.

What we require:

  • Registered Nurse, endorsed by AHPRA (Degree or higher qualification in Health Science or Applied Science (Nursing)
  • Current Flu Vaccination is mandatory
  • Statement of Service (where applicable)

We are seeking passionate Registered Nurses; someone who thoroughly enjoys nursing, has excellent clinical skills, can provide engaged leadership and who has a passion for providing exceptional care.

Key responsibilities may include:

  • A good understanding of contemporary aged care, clinical practice and clinical leadership in a residential setting
  • Insight into how relevant state and Commonwealth legislation impacts aged care services 
  • A good knowledge of the ACFI funding instrument and aged care accreditation standards 
  • Excellent written documentation and assessment skills 
  • Tech-savvy with a good grasp on client/data management systems and a knack for learning new programs 
  • Great communication skills and the ability to get along easily with others 
  • Able to problem solve, negotiate, mediate and resolve conflict 
  • Great understanding of Work Health and Safety Principles and infection control 
  • Confident leadership and contribution to a team
