About the Role

As a Quality Improvement Lead you will play a key part in Uniting North Residential Health Care team. This role provides support to 22 Residential Services, totalling 1550 beds. The position requires travel, including overnight with the geography spanning, Central Coast NSW, West to Tamworth and North to the Qld Border.

This is a management role within the Ageing team and is responsible for collaboration with the Governance, Risk and Quality stream to lead the implementation of quality management systems, frameworks and practice at the local level. This role is focused on the provision of coaching, advice and support to build capability and capacity within the local operational team, specializing in auditing, accreditation, complaints and incident management.

As Quality Improvement Lead your role will:

  • In collaboration with the wider Residential Aged Care team you will lead and facilitate local implementation of stream wide quality management strategies, initiatives and plans;
  • Work to enable Service Managers to implement effective quality improvement activities including auditing and complaints and incident management;
  • Lead the provision of specialist advice at the local level in clinical governance and quality;
  • Manage delivery of specific projects within the Business Plans.

Your experience ticks the following boxes:

  • Registered Nurse, endorsed by AHPRA
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a quality improvement role within a medium to large aged care organisation covering multiple facilities
  • Experience working at a management level
  • Post graduate qualifications in a relevant field
  • Significant experience in leading and influencing people through change
  • Demonstrated experience in providing advice into complaints management and clinical investigations
  • Demonstrated experience in responding to the Safety Commission regarding accreditation and complaints.  
  • High level understanding of contemporary approaches to quality management in the health industry
