About the role:

Full time opportunity for someone 2-3 years into their HR career looking to develop their generalist HR and employee relations skillsets. The Human Resources (HR) Advisor is a key support role to our HR Business Partners and will contribute to outcomes by:

You will be:

  • Advising on employment conditions according to enterprise agreements and policies and procedures and performance matters.
  • Supporting line managers to address performance and conduct related matters including workplace and complaint investigations.
  • Assisting inductions and training to coach and grow management capability and confidence to enable effective people management.
  • Contribute to HR improvement initiatives and support employment administration coordination.
  • Build knowledge banks and other collatoral for Uniting's people portal.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of HR policies, procedures and processes and adding value to the business.
  • The ability to be flexible to adapt and respond with a positive ‘can do’ attitude in complex and fast-paced environments.

Skills and experience:

  • Qualification in Human Resources or other relevant qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience working within an HR advisory or coordinator role, 2-3 years preferred
  • Continuing to develop in your area of expertise, providing innovative ideas and solutions
  • The ability to be flexible to adapt and respond with a positive ‘can do’ attitude in complex and fast-paced environments.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and superb organisational skills.
  • Natural problem solver, aptitude to think quickly, decisively, efficiently and effectively.                                                                    

Even better:                                                                

  • Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
  • Experience working within a not for profit environment.
