Uniting The Marion is a welcoming place. 130 Beds  with 4 Cottages specifically Catering to Dementia Specific.  We are now looking for a dedicated and proactive Permanent Full Time Deputy Manager  located in Leichhardt. We want someone who thoroughly enjoys a busy role and has a passion for providing exceptional care and has a vibrant and positive personality.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Aged Care Registered Nurse with management and/or quality experience to develop their leadership skills, build their career and expand their experience into a DSM role.

SELECTION CRITERIA

Our people make us the industry leader we are. To succeed in this role you will meet all the essential criteria.

  • Registered Nurse with current registration through AHPRA.
  • Experience working within a residential aged care environment.
  • Experience managing staff.
  • A demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Awareness and knowledge of current issues affecting older people.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office packages with I Care/Autumn Care a distinct advantage.
  • Knowledge of online incident and reporting management systems.  
  • Experience with roster management.
  • Knowledge of ACFI and care planning experience.
  • Knowledge of quality improvement, accreditation systems and OH&S.
  • Knowledge of Regulatory Compliance and Legislation.
