Lead an exciting project working with Uniting, Goodradigbee and NSW Department of Communities and Justice, supporting the transition of Permanency Support Program services currently held by Uniting, to Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisational delivery.

About the opportunity 

This role is responsible for leading, resourcing and capacity building to establish, develop and transition an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation with the responsibility to deliver Permanency Support Program (PSP) services for the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) communities. Based between Goodradigbee and our Uniting Burnside North Parramatta campus, you will manage and lead this unique project aligned with operational and strategic directions of our regional Aboriginal services offering.

About You

  • Aboriginality and demonstrated ability in working with Aboriginal people, families and communities in Greater Western Sydney
  • 5 years’ experience working in areas of business development, capacity building, Aboriginal community engagement, project management and people leadership
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and / or significant experience in project management equating to Recognised Prior learning of same
  • Experience in delivering services in conjunction with community committees  
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the Community Services and Child Protection Sector
  • Policy & procedure writing  
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written communication skills
