The Role

You will be responsible for providing customer service to current and potential supporters, as well as processing donations and executing supporter related administration. You will help to build relationships with supporters to strengthen current and future campaigns and fundraising efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to deepen their customer service experience and is passionate about child rights.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service through inbound phone calls and emails
  • Process donations efficiently and accurately
  • Process Global Parent (UNICEF Australia’s regular giving program) sign ups, donations and administrative requests
  • Update the database regularly with key supporter information
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for data collection

Selection Criteria ​

  • 2+ years’ experience in a customer/supporter service role, ideally with a regular giving program
  • ​Demonstrated excellent customer service, and ability to handle sensitive situations in a mature and effective manner in person, or by phone and email
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated high attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated relationship-building and negotiation skills
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work in a busy, team-based environment
  • Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and take initiative with the ability to work to deadlines in a professional and confident manner
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Understanding and commitment to the rights of children and the work of UNICEF

Desirable experience:

  • Experience in NFP fundraising data administration using SalesForce or similar

This role reports to the Supporter Experience Manager and is a full-time permanent position. It may require occasional work out of regular hours. Ideally, commencement would be as soon as possible. A competitive salary commensurate with the not for profit sector is offered together with the availability of sector-leading salary packaging to acheive an overall generous remuneration package.

To be eligible for employment with UNICEF Australia you must be legally entitled to work in Australia and have satisfactory background checks prior to employment, such as mandatory police check and where appropriate working with children check.
