UNICEF promotes the rights and wellbeing of every child, in everything we do. Together with our partners, we work in 190 countries and territories to translate that commitment into practical action, focusing special effort on reaching the most vulnerable and excluded children, to the benefit of all children, everywhere. In Australia we create impact for children and young people by elevating their voices, working with Governments to influence public policy, producing data and evidence, and working in partnerships to deliver innovative programs and initiatives which can be replicated at scale. UNICEF Australia is funded entirely by the voluntary contributions of individuals, businesses, foundations and governments.
As the Program and Advocacy Manager at UNICEF Australia, you will play a pivotal role in our Australian Programs team. Your key focus will be the establishment, delivery and ongoing management of priority projects corresponding to our efforts in Investing in the Early Years. You will have oversight of these thematic programs, manage relationships with partners and other stakeholders, identify and facilitate key advocacy opportunities, and communicate with supporters, funders, and the wider organisation. If you have that entrepreneurial approach and intend on delivering key work on behalf of Australian children, we would love to hear from you.
This position reports to the Director of Australian Programs and is a full time permanent position. The role requires occasional work outside of regular hours and possibly domestic travel. In the time of Covid-19, we are offering a work environment that prioritises flexibility, health and safety, including a balance between working from the office or home.
A competitive salary commensurate with the not for profit sector is offered together with the availability of sector-leading salary packaging to achieve an overall generous remuneration package.
