The Role

As the New Strategic Partnerships Manager at UNICEF Australia (UA), you will report to the New Strategic Partnerships, Senior Manager. Your main responsibility would be to identify and map prospects, expand our partner pipeline and identify opportunities for new strategic initiatives to secure long term sustainable partnerships. We want someone who is strategic, innovative and efficient at identifying potential partners, and pitching for their support. Key Responsibilities

  • Implement corporate new business strategy to acquire new partnerships for UA
  • Research organisations and sectors in the Australian marketplace with potential for prospecting
  • Leverage lead generation opportunities and populate pipeline with qualified new business prospects
  • Develop bespoke pitch documents and a tailored contact strategy and moves management plan for each prospective partner
  • Delivery of compelling pitch presentations to prospective partners
  • Manage database of prospects and leads, and support the Strategic Partnerships manager in planning.
  • Work with UNICEF globally to share knowledge and strategies, and to leverage existing global resources and partnerships.
  • Ensure strong collaboration and integration across fundraising teams to maximise growth opportunities
  • Ensure strong collaboration with our program teams for pitch preparation and maximising integrated corporate engagement

Selection Criteria

  1. 3+ years of demonstrated business development experience and achieving revenue targets
  2. Solid experience in fundraising, sales and/or corporate partnerships experience within corporate or not for profit sector
  3. Experienced in B2B marketing/sales and strategy development
  4. Strong written and verbal communication
  5. Proven record in Excellent pitch and presentation experience with evidence of growth outcomes
  6. Experience working within a complex brand or product environment with a track record of driving new revenue streams
  7. Evidence of relationship building skills at senior stakeholder level
  8. Strong commercial acumen
  9. Strong knowledge and understanding of the private sector in Australia
  10. Willingness to work outside of AU business hours
  11. A passionate and energetic team member with a genuine interest in working in the international aid and development sector
