The Role

We need you to help deliver this incredible story. UNICEF Australia is looking for an expert in digital platforms, someone who can comprehend the ins and outs of our website and digital platforms. We want someone who can develop, implement and maintain these platforms, both strategically and technically, and deliver on key fundraising, communication and organisational outcomes. Key responsibilities

  • Optimise, manage and maintain our public website as well as relevant digital agency partners
  • Creation and maintenance of strategic and technical website roadmaps
  • Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including digital agency partners, in supporting key objectives across our fundraising, advocacy and programs work
  • Manage the development and execution of digital and website initiatives
  • Oversee and manage all internal and external systems integration points of the website with assistance from internal stakeholders
  • Promote human centred strategies, agile ways of working and digital innovation approaches

Selection Criteria

  1. Appropriate tertiary Marketing, Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering qualifications, or equivalent experience
  2. Demonstrable significant experience in managing web development projects (using Agile and Waterfall) and/or managing e-commerce platforms
  3. Demonstrable experience using digital platforms, particularly Salesforce, Marketing Cloud and CMS platforms like Kentico, or similar
  4. Excellent stakeholder management, both internal (across departments) and external (digital agencies and vendors)
  5. Working knowledge of CSS, HTML, JavaScript, and data analytics tools like Google Analytics, Google data studio, and Einstein Analytics
  6. Knowledge and experience managing SEO and A/B or CRO projects, and of user experience design and research is highly desirable
  7. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of software systems integration involving CRMs and APIs
  8. Excellent communication and time management skills, an ability to deal with competing priorities within a team environment.
  9. A strong interest in current affairs with a passion for world news, human rights, social justice and in working in the international aid and development sector

Reporting to the Associate Director of Communications, this is a 6 month full time contract position with the potential to become permanent. The role typically requires occasional work outside of regular hours. In the time of Covid-19, we are offering a work environment which prioritises flexibility, health and safety, including the option to work from home for the foreseeable future.

A competitive salary commensurate with the not for profit sector is offered together with the availability of salary packaging to achieve a tax effective total salary package commensurate with experience.
