Looking for a passionate “go-getter” Team Leader
I am an intelligent woman in my 20’s living around the Chermside area in my own home. I need 24/7 1:1 practical and positive assistance to look after myself and my home and engage with and contribute to my community.
I have a fun and playful nature. I like sharing jokes, doing Zumba and girly things such as wearing jewellery, the colour pink, glitter, and bling! I love dogs, horse riding, the beach, people watching, visiting parks and cafes. I like people and enjoy engagement and interaction with others.
My family are important to me, and they are involved in the direction of my supports. I need to have people around me that I trust and know how to support me well to be successful!
I am looking for a Team Leader who naturally inspires others with the skills to effectively mentor and coach my support team. This role provides an opportunity to guide others within a true person and family centred framework; focussing on ensuring I live a good life while working in close partnership with my family and the specialist supports and services around me. As a leader, you will be responsible for the oversight of my day to day supports, the mentoring, training and guidance of practitioners and providing on call support in close consultation with my family and specialist supports. There is some flexibility to work from home.
To understand my needs well, it is important we have a positive trust relationship so working with me directly is a key feature of the role. This includes supporting me in my home and local community to manage my routines, attend to my needs and preferences, develop my skills, facilitate community-based relationships, and explore opportunities to build meaningful and inclusive community engagement aligned with my strengths, needs and interests.
We are proud of our team’s diversity and highly encourage applications from people with a disability and those who identify as a part of the Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Community.
We work hard to make our services welcoming and safe for every person. We are united in keeping children, young people, people with a disability and the elderly safe from harm, within our services, workplaces and the communities we support. We are committed to speaking up loudly for their safety.
