ECEI Coordinator - Toowoomba

We are seeking child development specialists and social workers to join the team in UnitingCare’s Early Childhood Early Intervention program partnered with National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) on a Fixed Term Full Time basis. The position will work across Toowoomba and surrounding regions.

You will be passionate about working actively alongside young children (0-6 years) with developmental delay or disability and their families within the early childhood early intervention approach.

The Role:

Responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Meeting with families to discuss their child’s needs and goals and provide support and strategies required.
  • Working with families to identify appropriate pathways of support that are individually tailored and responsive to identified developmental needs.
  • Supporting children and families to be fully integrated into the life and opportunities of their communities.
  • Enabling families to access NDIS funding to support their young children to achieve their developmental goals.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with families, community, clinical services and education.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

  • Ability to work in partnership with families with young children with developmental delay or disability and community.
  • Experience in early childhood and/or case management/research/human services/child protection/program coordination/NDIS planning.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, problem-solving and negotiation skills.
  • High level of verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability in report writing.
  • Flexibility for travel within the region.
  • Ability to work in a multi-cultural team and community.
  • Commitment to continuous growth and learning.
  • Interest in sharing your unique experience/skills with colleagues.

Remuneration

Base salary + super+ salary packaging + employee benefits
