We are currently seeking expressions of interest from motivated and enthusiastic Counsellors who also have experience in case management to join our UnitingCare team based in Chermside on a Part Time basis.
This successful applicant for this position must be female. This is a genuine qualification under Section 25 and 26 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act 1991.
In this role you will work with women and children who have been impacted by domestic and family violence. You will provide support to these women and children through therapeutic counselling, case management and advocacy. In addition to the above, you will be accountable for delivering complex risk assessments and implementing safety plans to address safety concerns while also building and maintaining high level knowledge of specialist support services that are appropriate to refer women and children to.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within a similar position where you have worked with women and children from diverse cultural backgrounds whom have been impacted by domestic violence or trauma.

In addition it is an inherent requirement of these roles that the individual appointed be able to present at the time of appointment a current driver license and be willing to undergo a Working with Children Check (Blue card).
