The Mental Health Community Coalition of the ACT (MHCC ACT) is the leading voice for community-based mental health services in the ACT and plays a critical role in advocating for better mental health outcomes. We are at a pivotal point in our journey and as the CEO, you can make a tangible impact on the sector. In particular, the MHCC ACT needs a CEO who can build and lead a new team, revitalise and strengthen key relationships across the sector and ACT Government and deliver on our commitments.
The role demands strategic leadership, excellent stakeholder skills, a willingness to collaborate and create sustainable partnerships and a focus on operational excellence.
You will play a key role in navigating the upcoming government commissioning process, ensuring that MHCC ACT’s members and consumers are well-represented and supported. You will work closely with the Board and bring strong strategic acumen to complement their advocacy-driven focus. You will also be supported by an experienced COO who is maintaining the operational function.
This is a role for an experienced CEO with proven experience in stakeholder engagement, partnership and collaborative practice with government or sector-related organisations, who understands the challenges of advocating for community services, with the ability to support the development of staff, centre the voices of those with lived experience and manage the implementation of strategic initiatives navigating between the operational needs of MHCC and the strategic needs of the organisation and sector. We are seeking someone can work closely with a non-profit Board. You will manage an annual budget of $850,000, with strategic opportunities to develop a sustainable and enhanced funding base.
