‘Til The Cows Come Home is a not-for-profit animal charity that rescues unwanted, unviable, “waste’’ animals from agricultural farms, rehabilitates them in short term foster care and rehomes them into safe, forever-loving homes as companions. Our passionate Board of Directors and leadership team have a vision to grow a more sustainable and scalable operation that will increase the capability of our organisation to reach more animals in need.
To help our team achieve this vision, we are currently seeking suitable applications for the position of Operations Manager reporting to the Board of Directors Chairperson. Through effective leadership and best practice business management processes and procedures this role will provide operational leadership and hands on support to the current leadership team. This includes managing animal rescue and fostering operations, administration and adoptions, marketing & communications, fundraising and human resources.
To be considered for this role, you will have experience in managing and leading staff, have sound knowledge of business management including risk management, business compliance, strategic and operational planning and the ability to build effective relationships quickly with both internal and external stakeholders. This position works in partnership with the Finance Manager and although not responsible for finance and accounting, needs to have a solid understanding of budgeting and cash management.
