About the role

Provide effective support to Participants ensuring a safe and structured environment is maintained in accordance with TSA guidelines, within a Participant lead recovery-based service.

Provide appropriate support to participants in line with established frameworks and TSA policies and procedures.

Assist case workers to address client needs, administer the program contribute to case plans and provide supervision to participants.

Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.

In line with agreed delegation make decisions consistent with TSA Recovery Services and Centre Policy and procedures in relation to participant/staff matters.

  • Certificate IV in a relevant discipline (or working towards).
  • Knowledge of AOD/Gambling, Community Services and Health Sectors.
  • An understanding of the issues faced by people experiencing AOD and Gambling related issues, mental ill health and other disabilities.
  • Experience working with people from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background.
  • Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and religions.
  • Experience in facilitating pastoral support desirable.

WHS - knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation.
Professional development required to maintain skills for the role.
