The Salvation Army is one of Australia's largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services). We work to a modern, evidence-based and holistic Model of Care which can be viewed here.
Our Townsville Youth Residential Program offers therapeutic residential rehabilitation for young people that have substance misuse and AOD issues. We take people aged from 16-25.
We are looking for a Casual Youth Support Worker who will be passionate about working with young people in a therapeutic youth-focused rehabilitation in our residential service where clients can stay as long as they need. All our programs take a therapeutic and individualistic strength-based approach towards recovery. We offer group therapy and SMART recovery frameworks that support young people with AOD issues.
We have multiple casual positions available based at our Townsville Recovery Services Centre.
