The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for assisting in the day to day operations of the Alice Springs Thrift Shop warehouse. Additionally, the Warehouse Assistant is to provide leadership and take on responsibility of the Warehouse in the absence of the Warehouse Team Leader.

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Assistant to join our small team at the Alice Springs Thrift Shop. Key responsibilities include:

  • Serve customers ensuring they have a good experience and are assisted courteously.
  • Promote TSA mission and service where appropriate.
  • Process and store donated clothing and goods in accordance with written schedule and order for daily retail store requirements.
  • Coordinate the pick-up and delivery of all donated goods.
  • Respond to enquiries from external customers.
  • Refer enquires or issues to the Warehouse Team Leader, as appropriate.

This is an ongoing full time position (38 hours per week).

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Demonstrated previous experience working in a similar role.
  • Electrical test and tag qualifications or willingness to acquire.
  • A current full driver's license with the ability and confidence to drive a small truck.
  • Desirable - Certificate III - Warehouse Operations or equivalent, or willingness to obtain.
