Our Workforce Volunteer Administrator will assist the Volunteer Workforce Team (VWT) with all work placement related administrative activities and maintain its Volunteer Database Systems (Workday and Better Impact), which includes background checks and report generation.

Salvos Stores has a vacancy for the position of Volunteer Workforce Administrator (One Year Secondment), and we guarantee this is a job like no other.

The role

We currently have a vacancy of a Volunteer Workforce Administrator to join our team, at our Support Office located in Mount Waverley. Salvos Stores plays an essential role in supporting the local community and is a destination for the second-hand retail enthusiasts. We're looking for an experienced administrator who loves retail, loves a challenge, and loves waking up each day with a passion for making a difference.

Our unique business proposition in Salvos Stores means that no day is the same. We're searching for someone who'll thrive in a team who supports our overarching volunteer team members.

Requirements on the role:

• Manage the volunteer database to ensure compliance and integrity measures are maintained in accordance the policies and procedures
• Generate relevant reports and follow ups as requested by the Volunteer Resources Manager
• Administer and action all Integrity Checks, which also entails investigating anomalies pertaining to the use of Volunteer Database systems
• Build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, this includes Job Seeker agencies as well as government departments
• Assist with management and reconciliation of various Job Seeker Agencies activities as required
• Assist with invoices and acquittals with external agency partners

About you:

• Have a relevant business degree and/or equivalent work experience, ideally gained from a not for profit organisation with a volunteer base
• Demonstrated experience working with HRIS ideally Workday
• Demonstrated experience working with governmental agencies or job seeker agencies would be highly regarded
• Proficiency in working with Microsoft software - i.e. Excel, Word, PowerPoint
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Solid experience in building strong relationships with various stakeholders, both internal and external
• Ability to meet deadlines, whilst displaying a strong customer focus to our volunteers
