The Salvation Homelessness Melbourne Metro is a large Salvation Army Homelessness provider in the inner city of Melbourne and provides a comprehensive range of residential & community services across six sites in St Kilda, Footscray, North Melbourne, West Melbourne and Kensington.
Community programs include the Crisis Contact Centre, Community Outreach Services for single adults, support for older people in public housing, rough sleeper & street sleeping initiatives, community participation and AOD support.
Residential services operate from Foley House in Footscray, the Open Door in North Melbourne and Flagstaff in West Melbourne.
Homelessness Melbourne Metro is committed to providing person centred care, trauma informed practice and a strengths-based approach to improve the health, wellbeing and housing outcomes for people experiencing homelessness.
Homelessness Melbourne Metro employs 197 staff and is supported by co-located services including the TSA Chaplaincy program, Bolton Clarke primary health service and NDIS support coordination.
The Team Leader coordinates and supervises a team of Supportive Housing Workers and a Peer Re-settlement worker who provide assertive engagement, brief intervention, case management and service coordination with people who have experienced chronic homelessness and/ or primary homelessness. They will work to ensure that the service provided is person centred, effective in achieving client goals, program outcomes, and are of the highest quality in accordance with The Salvation Army's values and legislative and funding requirements.
This is a full time position, 38 hours per week fixed term to 30 June 2023.
Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, level 6.
