Family Violence Services operates across multiple sites to deliver high quality services to women and children who are experiencing, at risk of experiencing or recovering from Family Violence in the Bayside Peninsula Area.

About the position

The Team Leader - Family Violence Services position is responsible for providing daily leadership, management and coordination of the Case Management program based at Windsor. This position will be required to:

  • Provide client-focused, trauma informed supervision and operational support to approximately 7 case management staff in order to ensure the delivery of high quality service provision.
  • Manage all aspects of the operations of the Family Violence Outreach Program
  • Be a proxy for the Bayside Peninsula Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP)
  • Monitor and support staff working with women and children referred via Risk Assessment and Management Panel (RAMP)
  • Ensure programs are adequately staffed and rosters are up to date
  • Monitor and ensure the performance of team and individuals against key performance indicators
  • Developing and maintaining productive and collaborative relationships with community and key stakeholders such as Victoria Police Police.
  • Oversee the administration of resources including material aid to women and children.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of quality and practice

The Team Leader will work in collaboration with the Family Violence Services leadership team and Program Manager - Windsor to develop and embed best practice principles in line with the Salvation Army National Family Violence Plan.

This position is responsible for ensuring Family Violence Services staff work within a trauma & psychologically informed practice environment, all staff are expected to work creatively towards ensuring that the safety and support needs of all women and children accessing the services are the first priority.

This position is a full time, fixed term position to 31st December, 2021.

Required Experience

  • Experience in the management of staff, who provide family violence support women and children
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills with the capacity to balance workload, determine priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge, understanding and experience in providing high quality supervision and support to staff.
  • Experience, knowledge and competency in case management practices.

Qualifications and Mandatory Requirements

  • Working with Children Check
  • Mandatory National Police Check
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences or related field is essential.
