The Salvation Army Australia's Family Violence Stream provides a wide range of services around the country to support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer refuge, children's and parenting services, counselling, support, men's programs, accommodation and advice to women and children who are experiencing, or who have experienced, family violence.

We are currently seeking a values-driven, motivated and proactive Team Leader to lead a small team of Domestic and Violence Workers, ensuring clients receive contemporary, appropriate and effective services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Caseloads are effectively allocated and monitored.
  • Ensure risk assessments, safety planning and mandatory reporting is undertaken as per TSA policy, procedure and relevant legislation.
  • Service performance targets are monitored and underperformance is identified and bought to the attention of the Manager.
  • Productive relationships are demonstrated within the team and contribute to quality team performance and team wellbeing.
  • Reflective practices are implemented for the team and contribute to improved outcomes for clients.

This position is located at Catherine Booth House, Darwin, NT.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a full time position, 38 number of hours per week, on an ongoing basis.

OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences, Psychology or Community Development.
  • Extensive, previous experience in a similar role within a domestic and family violence service.
  • Experience and resilience in working with complex clients presenting with challenging behaviours.
  • Ability to encourage and cooperate with others to achieve common goals.
  • Acknowledgement and responsiveness to diversity of experiences, perspectives, values and beliefs.
