ABOUT THE ROLE

We are currently seeking a values-driven and proactive Casual AOD Support Workers to provide quality care and support to participants of Gold Coast Recovery Services by working effectively and assisting case workers to provide a comprehensive client service. You will be required to work various shifts on a 24/7 roster.

These positions are located at Mount Tamborine Qld.

HOURS AND SALARY

We have several casual positions to join our Support Worker pool.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Level 2.

SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

  • Tertiary qualifications in Alcohol and Other Drug work or relevant discipline with a minimum of Certificate IV in community/social or other human services.
  • Experience in working with people recovering from alcohol and other drug addictions.
  • Mental Health First Aid Certificate desired.
  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate essential.
  • Ability to work in a team.
  • An understanding of and empathy with the Christian faith, values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
  • Current drivers licence with a LR or higher preferred.
  • Have a minimum of two years clean time (if applicable).
