The Sobering Up Unit is our 30 bed facility that provides shelter, support referrals and advocacy for persons who are assessed as requiring a safe place to sober up or recover from the immediate effects of alcohol and drug use. The unit also caters for people apprehended under the Public Intoxication Act (PIA) in South Australia.
As a support worker you will work as part of a close knit team in an environment that can be challenging at times. You will have knowledge of; harm minimisation as it relates to alcohol and other drugs, pharmacology, and the application of the Public Intoxication Act. In this role you will have a keen focus on maintaining our collaborative approaches to client service delivery.

We have several casual positions available. Support Workers work a 24/7 rotating roster and are remunerated at Level 2 under the Social, Community, Home Care & Disability Services Award 2010.
