To support clients participating in the Geelong Withdrawal Unit residential medicated withdrawal service, who are seeking to address their addiction to alcohol and / or other drugs.

ABOUT THE ROLE

• Facilitates the admission and discharge of clients
• Monitors client's progress throughout their stay at the GWU and responds to clinical changes of client's presentation appropriately
• Maintains accurate case notes and other required documentation
• Provides an accurate handover to staff
• Facilitates therapeutic group work

ABOUT YOU:

• Encourages and cooperates with others to achieve common goals ensuring that the needs of the service user remains the key focus
• Remains focused and maintains perspective when faced with change, crisis and difficulty
• Respects social justice identity and activities
• Reflects expected standards of behaviour and / or codes of conduct
