The State Coordinator and State Manager will lead the delivery of three Social Mission Streams (Alcohol and Other Drugs, Family Violence and Homelessness) within South Australia.

The State Coordinator and State Manager will lead the delivery of three Social Mission Streams (Alcohol and Other Drugs, Family Violence and Homelessness) within South Australia.

THE ROLE

This role represents an exciting time for us with genuine scope to make real and lasting differences in the lives of our vulnerable clients, given the recent funding success for family violence and the newly formed combined alliance "Toward Home" to reform homelessness services in South Australia. This is an exciting time to join The Salvation Army and be the instigator of change! We are seeking an experienced strategic senior Manager who will lead the provision of high-quality services, build and grow independent business units with financial responsibility and lead continuous organisational improvements. You will lead teams within ever-changing environments, whilst also providing supervision and support to key leadership staff who deliver services across metropolitan and country regions.

A value driven person with vision, coupled with a deep compassion for the vulnerable and the ability to lead and support a team of professionals will be an ideal foundation to this role. Delivering in all three streams, your key leadership responsibilities of this role include:

  • Strategic leadership for a group of business units across South Australia, whilst creating and growing business unit viability and performance.
  • Working across projects responsible for developing policies, programs and strategic directions;
  • Business model design and business process improvement
  • Collaborating closely within the national structure as well as organisational alliances to design activities & participate in project development;
  • Monitoring, recording and contributing to organisational improvements and the achievement of strategic directions;
  • Preparing updates & reports relating to program service delivery

Whilst the position is in Adelaide, regular travel throughout the state and when required interstate is required.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a full-time ongoing position.

Salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry Award 2010, Social stream, level 8 plus over award component.

ABOUT YOU

  • Degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development or related field with substantial and relevant experience, including in management
  • Experience in active membership in community or government bodies within relevant sectors
  • Senior management experience in social and community services programs
  • Ability to foster a culture of excellence in service delivery
  • A current South Australian Drivers Licence is essential due to travel
  • Be able to provide proof of Eligibility to Work in Australia
