To be responsible for curriculum development and oversee the preparation and facilitation of an accredited , effective education program within a flexible learning environment. In line with TSA program mission of supporting young people to overcome adversity and build independence, this role will ensure that students are successfully re-engaged with education pathways, that students are supported to develop positive aspirations that enable alternative independent futures and good practice learning principles and standards are being implemented throughout the program.
The Tom Quinn Community Centre Alternative School is a special assistance school catering to co-education students from Year 7 to 10. We provide education to disadvantaged students who have disengaged from mainstream education in the Bundaberg region. Working within a trauma informed care framework, the school provides opportunities for students to develop social and emotional skills, life skills and industry and employment skills though their engagement with our onsite social enterprises.
