Our Thrift Shop has an abundance of products from clothing through to furniture. The profits from the Thrift Shop go directly to fund the local community, various social programs and support we offer to those less fortunate.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Engaging with people is what you'll thrive on to carry out this role. You'll enjoy meeting and greeting customers, answering their questions and ensuring their needs are met. The role needs a positive personality, ensuring customers leave our store the better for having been assisted by you. Of course we need you to keep the sales area stocked and presented professionally. As you'd expect, another key part of the role is to process sales in a quick and accurate manner.

HOURS AND SALARY

This is a permanent part time position, 18 hours per week.

The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Retail Industry Award 2010, Level 1.

ABOUT YOU

You are approachable with a warm personality, always eager to help customers. Chances are their store satisfaction is your job satisfaction. Through the day you remain mindful of the store, conducting any tidying or restocking required. It goes without saying you are accurate with sales processing and maintain your standards and cheerful approach when there's a queue or others are waiting. You'll be keen to learn about our stock, putting yourself in a position where you will be able to answer customer questions. We would welcome your knowledge of the recycling industry. We will also need you to have a current driver's license.

This position will require physical ability to safely stand, sit, walk regularly and for long periods of time. Some responsibilities will require the successful applicant to push, pull, lift, carry and restrain stock, climb ladders, and possible use computer mouse and eftpos machine. This will all be in line with WHS policies and procedures.
