The Bridge Program in Hobart operates from our residential facility in New Town, which offers 12 residential beds and four transitional units.

THE ROLE

We are seeking a Program Facilitator for the Matrix Program - an intensive AOD group-based outpatient program. You will provide individual counselling and facilitate psycho-social group work for clients in the Matrix Program. You will also:

  • Provide counselling and psycho-social group work for Bridge Center clients
  • Participate and provide advice to the Matrix Program team, Clinical Counselling team, and AOD Specialist team.

This is a part time position, 30.4 hours per week fixed term to June 2022.

ABOUT YOU

  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology
  • Registration with the AHPRA Psychology Board of Australia
  • Advanced clinical experience in an area relevant to the alcohol and drug field(i.e., mental health)
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of AOD interventions for individuals, groups, and families
  • Identifies, designs, implements, and monitors evidence-based psychological therapies for mental health disorders including high prevalence and chronic, complex, and enduring issues
  • Provides consultancy advice and psycho-education about mental health problems, psychological distress, and other psychological issues
