The Program Manager will be responsible for all operational aspects and provide leadership and support to Family Violence Specialist staff based at Windsor and in co-located programs at two Victoria Police locations and Family Life.

The program operates across multiple sites to deliver high quality services to women and children who are experiencing, at risk, or recovering from Family Violence in the Bayside Peninsula Area.

The position is responsible for ensuring program staff work within a trauma and psychologically informed practice environment. All staff are expected to work creatively towards ensuring the safety and support needs of women and children accessing the program as a first priority.

This position will be required to:

  • Provide management and leadership to approximately 25 program staff
  • Provide direct supervision and line management to 2 Senior Family Violence Services Practitioners (Alexis)
  • Provide supervision and direct line management to 2 Team Leaders
  • Provide supervision to the Children's Specialist Practitioner
  • Provide supervision to Family Violence Senior Practitioner
  • Provide Agency based oversight of Strength2Strength staff (Psychologist and Therapeutic Intervention Practitioner)
  • Provide task supervision to Front of House
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Regional Manager - South East Victoria

This position is a limited term contract for twelve months covering parental leave.

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Social Sciences or related field
  • Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • Drivers licence
  • Previous experience in a senior leadership or management position is desirable.
