About Role

  • Provides leadership and direction in the categories under management, including supply market management and development, strategic planning and execution, and contract and risk management activities to meet the business needs.
  • Leads improvements and is responsible for managing Procurement and Contract Management in relation to Business and Fleet Services (this includes but is not limited to Motor Vehicles/Fleet, Advertising, Marketing, Printing, Mailing, Stationery & Consumables, Insurance, Audit, Postal Services, Archiving, MFD's). The position will define and implement best practices that maximise efficiencies, quality, and cost savings while building and maintaining positive, long-term, strategic vendor partnerships. Responsible for ensuring that end to end vendor performance meets agreed levels and risks around procurement, contract management and licensing are managed.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert; is responsible for the completion of vendor management support activities, guiding personnel in the use of appropriate procedures, techniques and tools to meet organisational goals and objectives.
  • Works closely with the of GM, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement to set and plan the strategic direction of the unit by developing key priorities and continuous improvement initiatives, the required actions and the measures of success. Acts as 2IC in absence of GM, Strategic Sourcing and Procurement.

About You

  • Substantial experience establishing and supporting vendor relationships with external parties including contract negotiations and contract management.
  • Contract Management - Demonstrated experience with all aspects of establishing, managing and monitoring performance of contracts and demonstrated understanding and working knowledge of concepts including, but not limited to, Indemnity, Intellectual Property, Force Majeure, Change Control, Escrow, Risk Management, escalation and dispute resolution
  • Negotiation - Demonstrated ability to develop and execute negotiation strategies for technology solutions and services.
  • Relationship Management - Demonstrated experience working with external agency executives and managers to develop long term strategic vendor relationships.
  • License Management - Demonstrated experience and understanding of contemporary licensing models and the establishment, monitoring, review and optimisation of such arrangements
  • Financial Management - Demonstrated experience with budget management, performing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses
  • Procurement - Demonstrated experience developing and executing various go-to-market strategies, demonstrated understanding and experience of probity, establishment and management of Service Level Agreements and Statements Of Work
  • Change Management - Significant experience in building engagement plans and successfully managing change associated with the implementation of new suppliers at a national level
  • Degree qualifications in Business
