Prison reintegration program. Working with people exiting prison, both pre-release and post-release, to support their successful reintegration back into the community and to address any issues that may have led to them being imprisoned.
The role involves the provision of support to people exiting prison, parolees and remandees pre and post release in order to resolve crisis; re-establish family links where appropriate; re-establish a capacity to live independently and provide or arrange the provision of support services and supported accommodation post release; and maximise the independence, self reliance and reintegration of people back into the community.
These positions report to the Manager of the Housing and Homeless Stream, but will be required to work independently and as part of a wider team.
The two positions are offered: Full time, 38 hrs. p.w. Monday to Friday, 9 am -5 pm for 24 months - and one will be based in Hobart and the other in Launceston.
